Here are five easy football skills which you can in a match. Every football player should have these skills in their arsenal.
THE LA CROQUETA
This is one of the most match effective football skill which you can use while dribbling. The la croqueta is used by many Spanish players like Xavi, Andres Iniesta etc.
HERE ARE THE STEPS
Tap the ball with the inside of your left leg towards the right side.
As the ball goes to the right side, tap it forward with the inside of your right leg into space.
TIP: Its is suggested to give a body feint(see no.5) toward the right side while taking the first touch to make the defender believe that you are going right.
2.THE L-DRAG
This is very common match effective skill used by almost all football players.
It is very useful to move into space.
Here are the steps for the skill:-
1.pull the ball back with your strong foot.
2.As the ball comes towards you push the ball to the other side with the same foot making a V shaped path.
3.THE RONALDO CHOP
Now this one is really famous. The ronaldo chop as the name suggests is always used by Cristiano Ronaldo and is really simple. This can be used while dribbling onto the defender.
The Ronaldo chop is a one touch skill. To perform this you have to chop the ball with your strong foot to the opposite side. You can do this in two ways. You can either jump as you do the chop, or take the touch behind your weak foot as it is shown in the Video.The second one looks a much more smoother.
4.THE ROULETTE
Made famous by legends like Diego Maradona and Zinedine Zidane, this may look difficult but it is not.
Here are the steps for this football skill:-
As you dribble the ball and approach the defender,stop the ball with your strong foot and turn your back. Now as you turn, roll back the ball with your strong foot.
Keep in mind that all these steps should happen smoothly in a swift action.
5.THE BODY FEINT
Probably the easiest of all, you do not even need to touch the ball for this and you can do this literally anywhere on the pitch.To do this, drop the shoulder to the opposite of the side where you need to go. This is basically a fake to confuse the defender. This gives you time to take a touch into space and leave the defender shaken.
Now to make this effective you really need o look like you are going to the side you are faking. Take a step towards that side along with dropping the shoulder as shown in the video.
